William Donaldson

William Donaldson (Bill) is a specialized consultant with Armstrong and Associates Insurance Services. Bill moved to Davis California in 1985 from Seattle Washington. Working and living in Seattle in the early 80’s he began his career in business banking, with specialized training from the American Institute of Banking (AIB). He began his non-profit career after volunteering in the community with United States Triathlon Series and Head Start programs shortly after arriving in Davis.

He spent the last 20 years in the non-profit sector serving in a multitude of positions. The last 10 years he served as Vice President for a non-profit organization that had partnerships in 38 of the 52 counties in California. He provided management oversight, program development services and created unrestricted funds through streamlined administration and effective fiscal leveraging. To meet local community needs, he administered one of the largest AmeriCorps programs in the United States. Bill is highly recognized for his creative financial solutions and program strategies. He served as the annual guest speaker and emcee for the AmeriCorps graduation as well as an emcee of many other special events.

He has developed the first Non-Profit Management Manual and Employee Benefits Manual specifically tailored to the non-profit community. This comprehensive model manages the agencies organizational business, insurance polices, safety procedures, employee benefits and services, and provides critical support and analysis to maximize the agencies funds. He has become an advocate and an educator for the non-profit organizations to the insurance carriers.

Bill has lived in Davis since 1985. He is an avid cyclist and community volunteer. He is a founding board member of Davis Manor Neighborhood Council, one of the first neighborhood councils in Davis. He is a past member of the Chamber and served on the Sacramento Child Advocates and Court Appointed Special Advocates Board of Directors. He continues to be an advocate for children and families and uses his business background to provide leadership when necessary. He believes in building a better tomorrow through service today.
